When somthing that is talked about everywhere from Airport Lounges to Highschool Classrooms or gotta say what’s up?

I’m talking none other then the social networking site, Myspace

mypace
Everywhere you hear; “Hey dude i added you to my top friends” or ” Guys check out my new layout”
I decided to check what all the hype was about. I was thinking what is this it looks like something straight out of the pages of a 90’s geocities site,

What was there to like?
A typical myspace page looks like this, were using T-pain as our example T-pain’s Myspace
This Took over 2mins to load(Broadband Connection).
Has so many Flash Apps(16 in fact) & “in your face” colourful things that just make your senses overload.

How can people use the site? I’m sure it doesn’t state in the Myspace TOS that it should be viewable and general usability of his/her profile.

How can something be so effective?

I have to come a conclusion,That people want a site that reflects them and if having floating jpegs appeals to you then use them, and also it’s aimed at High School / Young Adults which will mean that there “creative” minds will be always on the ball.

But there is a group and i mean a very very small group of people that have myspace that is good looking on my find i went and saw this site.

MyGen
Where users show of there custom made myspace profiles and get it judged and put through the test, The site also offers great tutorials and tips on making your myspace that Extra pit Personal.

Still hate myspace want to be different? Never Fear !
There is help from the Diseased look of Myspace.

Virb
Is a New social Networking site which is Beautiful to look at and use, but with a intsy winsy amount of people that use it compared to myspace has it really needs to do something more than be good looking to the eye.

Facebook
Facebook on the other hand is myspace but it’s more focused on groups anyone can join, It has a straight-jacket over it’s creativity. That’s where it shines. This is the current opponent for myspace but where Facebook fails, Is it’s lack to International Appeal; Living in Australia None of my classmates have a facebook account.

Myspace or not, I’m interested to see what happens in another 2-3 years.
