Crank Dat Social
Topping almost 50 million views with 1000’s of video responses. The social age is here.
What is social?
It’s all about you and the content you produce distributed by the networks of social medium.
The advent of web 2.0 it’s all about networking music, movies, friends, food, photos, everything.
Garage bands all over the world can now post their music on social networking sites such as Virb and MySpace and gain thousands / millions of listeners worldwide.
Traditionally where it used to be a record company agent who approached talented artists for a career this creates a platform where anyone can become the next internet sensation.
Record companies, and publicists are all going to be forced into extinction as their purpose is useless as through networking of the social the public view is not needed. With this being said
I’ll touch on one such social to mainstream music artist.
DeAndre Cortez Way know as ‘Soulja Boy’ a teenager who now competes with top artists on the billboard charts is a excellent candidate and is the most clear example the power of social networking on the internet is.
Soulja boy who wrote and produced his album started promoting it on YouTube and MySpace pages and became such a huge hit by the power of people and networking. This is the future of new music artists.
To clearly understand analysing the music video of Crank Dat, Begins with two children choreographing the dance only to the record manager (Collipark) to explain “who is Soulja Boy? And what the heck is that dance?” with the children looking at each and replying “who’s Soulja Boy??”
The scene then begins with Mr. Collipark chatting in a rather unorthodox way with Soulja Boy through Instant messenger and throughout the way discovering this untapped internet savvy teenage market.
All throughout the video we see the record head confused looking at people performing the same dance he sees that the children were at the begging of the video. As if he just woke up to the teenage social media age.
The dance impersonated by thousands of video responses on YouTube all help the evolution of the music not just as hearing form but as social intertwinement.
When the internetz meets reality anyone can become famous.
Next post will be talking about how write and text have changed to adapt to Web 2.0

helpless helping
There it was an IM message at 2am “Hey Ajay, can you help me with this?” replied by “Yeah sure what’s up?”
When you don’t want to speak to someone It can so easily be avoided by the block button. As if life was as easy as IM where all it takes is one button to stop talking to an individual. The feeling of wanting to help other people lies in our most primate instincts of I scratch your back and you scratch mine.
There are two types of people in the world those that constantly ask for help and those that constantly deliver it. The only solace I get for mine is writing my thoughts onto paper or publishing how I feel on a blog.
For the past few months, clouded with thought of everything in relationships. One thing stands true. Stupid risks make life worth living. It’s not a case of do or don’t anymore which just leaves you in wandering in a circle eventuating into nothing. You have to ask yourself whether feelings you have for someone can really happen. If they can’t, then you get it over and done with.
Don’t you hate that?
What.
Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it’s necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable?
That’s when you know you found somebody really special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.
-Mia, Pulp Fiction.
I need to start focusing on myself rather than focusing on others for a change.

cliché
Hiding is what a lot of us do without realising what where hiding from.
The common conception is the person you talk to is the same person you chat with the adjoining day. This conception lies from seeing the person but not understanding the true mindset the individual is in at the given stage.
Personally I have many facades I operate at and am unashamed to admit it. Most People won’t know I watched over little over 3,000 YouTube videos or that I have posted over 3,300 times on a forum. These facades and how humans operate on many different levels is the way society is run and how were expected to behave depending on a number of things mostly the aesthetic.
After peering at the social cliques and the symbol of status the aesthetic holds in upper high school where human parallels draw a soft point to the emergence of social networking, people are more connected than ever and the advent of individual interaction is lost in maze of Facebook nudges, to MySpace comments.
The personal is gone and is replaced by a hollow form of translating, a form in which human communication isn’t wanted. This sends the possibility of people acting not how they will in society and conform to the rules of the aesthetic but transcend into a feeling of anonymity that they believe the internet can deliver.
I’ve taken a backseat and observed how the aesthetic works. I’ve experienced firsthand when a fabrication of me was going through the comments of the internets and into the mouths of different social clique’s. After it’s become evident that it’s been null since it was the time it had been started.
We love drama as on Reality TV, Movies, Celebrities, Ourselves.
Complete the part when drama is found untrue the socialite move to the next big thing as drama without more drama is of no interest.
The individuals that have no time but to admire the latest fashion trends to latest Celebrity news have no continuance has the spiral keeps going around they lives end up following something which had meaning but are looked up now as a fad.
Anyone that doesn’t know any individual fully, and believe something you’ve fallen into the same repetitive cycle of pointless gossip. Mainstream Media has us believing drama will keep us entertained. It won’t. People believing in garbage about the people they talk to and second guessing them doesn’t know them at all.
This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.

New Year Times.
The sounds of hundreds of conversations, the smell of new text books, the look on many year 10’s bewildered faces. This is the start of the School Year.
The new kids (Year 10’s) seem to have a feeling about the new campus it’s either you hate it or love it, there’s no in between. The people I would chat with for lunchtimes and the ones I would avoid being their presence.
One of the reasons why this year would be different is It’s that the sociological element being placed in a new environment that you tend to associate with someone who is in the same situation as you, Thus the reason why we have pockets of year 10’s around the school and can’t look anywhere without seeing one.
It’s amazing how much can change in a span of 2months. You accustomed to seeing everybody almost every-day that you see minuet differences but in a span of 2months you see some gained a couple extra inches some lost a couple Kilos & etc.
People that come from different social cliques’ that talk for hours online and seem hard time to piece a sentence or say Hi! In reality cause of how they go about it. I had this happen and seen it happen many times.
Also note when you develop internet friendships and try to communicate outside instant messaging the lacked verisimilitude is somewhat obvious.
No doubt this year would be a very different and how it’ll play it is entirely up to yourself. Do you make the most with the time available or slide into oblivion?
Thanks for reading!

Childhood Memories Retouched
What a lovely time,
When getting high was seeing who could get highest on the swing, Race fights were who could run around the block the fastest,And not knowing what tomorrow might hold.
Weren’t they just the great memories of childhood I’m already reminiscing on the good old days (and I’m a teen) when there was no stress no homework no worries.
Just lived and enjoyed life one day at a time. One song I happily found was;
Toploader – Dancing In The Moonlight
I remember this playing on the summer radio while at my mates playing some Donkey Kong Country, and thinking this is bliss.
The feeling that I had and that I still remember is a wonderful one.
This is a beautiful song and will defiantly put a smile on your face.
